Sam joined the ESRC in 2007, fresh out of university after graduating with a joint BA hons degree in Politics and Sociology. She worked for just over two years on the Research Resources Team, managing the Research Resources Board and acting as Case Officer for large scale social and political surveys such as the British Election Study and European Social Survey. She moved round to the ESRC’s International section in October 2009, and as well as acting as National Contact Point for the FP7 Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities Programme, she is also leading on the implementation of the newly established bilateral agreement with the São Paulo State Research Foundation (FAPESP), Brazil.
