Welcome to the Energie Helpline UK, the UK National Contact Point for the Sustainable Energy Systems thematic priority of the European Commission's R&D funding programme (FP7).

Sustainable Energy Systems includes the following topic areas:

Technological development and integration of renewable energy sources in the energy system, including storage, distribution and use;

• Energy savings and energy efficiency;
• Development of alternative motor fuels;
• Development of fuel cells and their application, in particular for transport and hydrogen storage;
• Reduced use and clean burning of fossil fuels, especially coal.

Our aim is "to answer all your questions about European funding for Sustainable Energy Systems related research directly and quickly, or find someone else who can help". We are part of an EU wide NCP network working in close collaboration with the Commission, DTI and Defra and UK Technical Experts.
