How the Research Infrastructure Programme Work in FP7? |
Work Programme
An annual Work Programme (WP) sets out the topics that will be the subject of that year’s Calls for proposals. The WP gives the rationale for the RI work programme that year, details the content of that year’s Calls, outlines how the call will be implements (Call Fiche, see below) and gives an indication of the desired future direction of the WP.
Call Fiche
Details of Calls are published in part of the WP called the Call Fiche. This gives the opening date and deadline. It will also contain information on any specific eligibility criteria that might apply to topics in that Call.
Funding Schemes
Each topic is operated through a particular funding scheme, which relates to the sort of activities and outcomes that are required.
Depending on the type of project, therefore, schemes will fund different activities.
Each funding scheme also has its own eligibility requirements, but note that there can be exceptions to these for particular topics, and these will be specified in the Call Fiche.
Each funding scheme also has its own Guide for Applicants which must be read alongside the Work Programme and Call Fiche.
Information
The Commission issues a special information package for each call for proposals, which is available on-line on the page of the relevant call on CORDIS. You can register with CORDIS to be informed of new calls relevant to your subject area.
All these documents are liable to be updated after publication and you need to make sure you have the most up to date version. Details of any updates can be found on CORDIS or from your NCP.
